In the spring of 2023, Clement K. Miller, CFA began teaching at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service as an adjunct professor. He enjoys writing regular LinkedIn posts on investing and geopolitics and has plans to expand this activity to other social media. 

In June 2022, he transitioned from his Wilmington Trust position as Senior VP and Senior Portfolio Manager to the pursuit of independent creative, entrepreneurial, and consulting endeavors, the teaching and coaching of young professionals, extensive travel, and enjoyment of quality time with family and friends. One can say he is among the early-retirement cohort of the “great resignation”, whose outlook has been positively inflected and broadened by the pandemic. 

Passionate about using quantitative skills to improve the outcomes for clients and the community.

My mother, uncles and aunts were teachers and preachers who gave to the community with a goal of leaving things better than they found them.  When I was educated in school and during the CFA accreditation process, I was fortunate to acquire quantitative skills and financial knowledge.  My research, in options strategy, works to create better outcomes using dynamic call writing and strategic put purchases. Education is a key to bringing innovative ideas forward in the investment industry.  My experiences at State Street, Wilmington Trust and SunTrust have highlighted how the holistic consideration of taxes, planning vehicles and investments can lead to better solutions.
